Cornelius Rawlings returns to his family's backwater farmhouse after an unexplained eighteen year absence in this atmospheric dark comedy. His brothers Ezra, cross-dressing head of the family, and Amos, a curmudgeonly artist inspired by the grotesque, struggle to fathom where Cornelius has been.
